Product Review: Ender 3 V2
Why you NEED Ender 3 V2 Printer
Creality has set the new baseline for budget 3D printing. The Creality Ender 3 has always been a staple to the 3D printing for beginners scene, but it was beginning to feel dated. With the Ender 3 V2, Creality took the core experience and price point of the Ender 3 and upgraded it with more current hardware and aesthetical improvements, making it the perfect FDM value printer!
The Ender 3 V2 comes with many hardware and visual improvements. The print quality is definitely up to par with the Ender name, and in many ways better than its predecessor thanks to the upgraded stepper motor drivers. The Ender 3 V2 uses Creality’s now widely popular German imported TMC2208 motherboard. The TMC2208 provides stronger anti-interference, more stable performance, and provides an ultra-silent printing experience. It also features the resume printing function that is common among new printers. This allows users to resume printing if the power is lost, and if filament runs out or breaks, the printer will automatically stop printing, which can then be resumed after new filament is loaded. The UI of the Ender 3 V2 is larger than the previous version, and has colour, using the rotary knob to navigate the menu. The printing bed is 220 x 220 mm and is made of ultra-flat carborundum glass that gives the bed superior heat conductivity, is fast to heat up and creates a very adhesive first layer for the print without warping or scratching. Ender 3 V2 is equipped with 350W Meanwell power supply. Safe to use, and powerful in heating up, meeting all the needs of fast heating and long duration printing.
In addition to simple hardware updates, Creality really listened to popular community demand, introducing several small unique features, for example the printer includes a drawer at the front of it, perfect for storing cutters, hex keys, and anything else you may need. Other new elements include belt tensioners, making it very easy to retighten the belts for increased long-term use. Aesthetically speaking, the Ender 3 V2 looks much nicer. The boxy mental enclosures have been replaced with molded plastic panels, and the power supply has moved into the base of the printer resulting in an all-over more streamlined look.
Creality Ender 3 V2 is also fully compatible to work with Creality’s wifi Box, which allows users to access the revolutionary world of Cloud 3D Print, enabling the user to control their printers, adjust printing parameters, and monitor prints all in real time, all from their phones!
In summary the Creality Ender 3 V2 is a very well-priced printer and its intuitive operation makes it an excellent place to start 3D printing for beginners or to add to your roster for experts. It can be purchased from your local Canadian retailer on the Mechestore!
